“NO SCHOOL”

FFA Week

 

Driver Education classroom is scheduled to begin Wednesday, February 27. As of today only five

Students have signed up. If no more students register, this class will be canceled and offered in the

summer.  Mr. Knapper.

 

ATTENTION: ALL 8-12th graders RCW Softball players or anyone interested in playing

Softball this year.  There will be a preseason meeting Wednesday, Feb. 20th at 8:00A.M.

in the north computer lab before school.  This meeting will consist of a brief introduction

of your New Head Coach.  How captains will be chosen.  A brief questionnaire to fill out.

There will also be time for Q & A, if you have any questions or concerns on anything

regarding RCW Softball.  This is for players only.  There will be a proper parents meeting

planned after the basketball season.  Looking forward to meeting all of you.

TOMF T-Shirts for Sale: The “TOMF Jam the Gym” Event will be held on Saturday,

March 23rd, In Bird Island.  Doors open at 4:00p.m.   We are extending an opportunity for RCW

Students to purchase a TOMF T-Shirt prior to the event.  If you want a T-Shirt, simply choose

the size and color you want on the form below and return the form and $10.00 per shirt (cash or

check) to your child’s classroom teacher.  Make checks payable to TOMF.  Thank you for your

RCW Elementary Students K-6th will be partaking in the Kindness Challenge February

4th-22nd for Random Acts of Kindness Month! Let's see how many acts of kindness we

can get and spread some kindness throughout our school! #KindisCool

 

Prairie Fire Children’s Theatre will be at RCW March 11-16th, practices daily 3:45-7:45p.m.

in the RCW Small Gym, MUST be present every day (except for sickness or religion class).

No charge to participate.  “WIZARD of OZ” presented to the public @ 7:00p.m. Friday,

March 15th, and 2:00p.m. Saturday, March 16th.  Charge for audience attendance to be

Minnesota Farmers Union Scholarship: Every year Minnesota Famers Union and National Farmers Union offer

Scholarship opportunities to students in Minnesota and Nationwide.  This year there is over $14,000 worth of Scholarship

ProAg of Renville County 2019 Scholarship Opportunities: ProAg of Renville County is happy to announce the

2019 scholarship opportunities for Renville County high school seniors.  These scholarships are being made available by

ProAg of Renville County and the generous donations to the 2018 Renville County All Ag Celebration.  Application

MAFMIC SCHOLARSHIP: This educational scholarship was established by the Board of Directors of the Minnesota

Association of Farm Mutual Insurance Companies, Inc.  (MARMIC) for presentation to one or more Minnesota high

school graduating seniors.  Applicant must be the son or daughter of a parent or legal guardian who is a policyholder

from a qualifying mutual insurance company (MAFMIC Member Company.)  Applicant must have an accumulative

grade point average of 2.5 for high school, will need a copy of your high school transcript.  For more information

please stop by the High School office to pick up an application.  All applications must be postmarked on or before

March 15th,  in the year of issue qualify. 

 

Olivia Masonic Lodge Scholarship 2019:  The 2019 Olivia Masonic Scholarship Application – 2 or 4 Year Degree

Scholarship – 1 Award at $1500.  Available for any RCW High School student graduating Spring of 2019 who is attending

a 2 or 4 year post high school education program.  PURPOSE OF THE PUBLIC SCHOOL SCHOLARSHIP AWARDS,

In sponsoring and funding these scholarships, the Masons of Olivia and the Masons of Minnesota affirm their faith in

education and their devotion to public schools teaching all the children of the people. It is our hope that through these

grants, outstanding students may be helped to achieve their potential for success in their chosen career through technical

education, the liberal arts, or through protracted programs of professional preparation.  Applications must be thoroughly

complete and submitted to the RCW High School secretary Kelly Johnson by the end of the school day April 5, 2019.

 

Minnesota Association of Townships Scholarship Program: The Minnesota Association of Townships (MAT) is

awarding $1,000 scholarships to up to Six Juniors currently attending a Minnesota public, private, or parochial high school

or a home study program that plan to further their education at a college, university, or vocational school. Applicants must

complete an application form and submit it along with a written essay discussing this year’s topic, if interested in an

application, please stop by the office to pick up one.  Deadline is: May 1, 2019.
